Solo Change- I’m Getting There!

Une. Uno. One. And. Only.
I am the only one in my house transitioning to a wholefood- plant based lifestyle. It is hard! I still have to prepare meals with meat for my family. It is so tempting. I wonder if I am ready for such a change. I thought I could go all in and stop eating meat and meat products immediately. Nope!
My family supports MY effort, but doesn’t want any parts of it. I often feel lonely in the process. I realize it takes more determination than I originally had in me. It has taken me nearly a year to build a portion of the strength I need to do this lifestyle change. I keep fighting because my life depends on me changing what I eat. I want to live as long as possible.
I can proudly say two things: I have not given up! Every day I mess up, I start over the next. I am losing my desire for meat! While I was foraging for food, I came across meat products, and I had no desire to eat them. Yay!
So, for fellow lifestyle changers facing the same challenge, I recommend:
1. Never give up.
2. Start over as many times as needed.
3. Don’t be hard on yourself.
4. Celebrate the small successes.
5. Enjoy each day!
